Saturday I became the greatest sister in the world until I do something to piss off my younger sister again. Took her out to Kevin Smith’s Q&A, afterward got her a poster, got is signed by Jason Mewes, then, as he walked by the coffee shop a few doors down, we invited him in. It was just us, and a few of the people who work there who’d been kind enough to open after hours. So Jason came in and hung around for a while.
I spent nearly the entire time in his business, my sister sat shyly on the couch and my boyfriend disinterestedly played with his gadgets but did take time out to confer with Jason about some techy stuff.
Yesterday (Sunday) work was stress-free and extremely productive. Went home and cooked dinner promptly fell asleep watching Voyager afterward.

Tonight, there was a thunderstorm on the way. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always felt the hours preceding a thunderstorm have an uneasy feeling. It’s something I’ve always felt like the weather is looming. That being said, I went out for a smoke on the deck, which I do several times in any given night. Tonight, however, several events coordinated to creep me the hell out.
First off, the lights are out on the deck, now, they’re yellow bulbs so it’s not super illuminated any other given night, but the lack of their light is shockingly noticeable. Secondly, the screen door came off the rails causing me to have to close the heavy, frequently-gets-stuck glass sliding door. Elimination the option of quick entrance or exit.

Lastly, the wind literally blew ominously, you know that fakey b-movie wind sound effect you’ll hear on TV? Especially the old Sleepy Hollow Disney movie? Well, that was happening too.
To top all that off there’s like 15 wind chimes out there, something about wind chimes in the dark goes far away from soothing and lands smack dab in the center of Silent Hill. I half expected Pyramid head to pop out.
