DANG, YALL!

Hi Mike! I heard you missed my blog updates, so I’m obliging with a massive one, covering the last 3 months!

Exclamation! Let me e’splain…take too long, lemme sum up…

May 4th: Free Comic Book Day! or Ladies love Deadpool!

Later on that same day
Comic Book themed Drag and Burlesgue at Tabu for Tamm’s Birthday:

Tammy went as Princess Batgirl, I went as Black Canary (sans wig, it was HOT outside!)
Cat went as THE TICK.

The birthday girl and I.

May 10th At the Drive in:
In which Mauro, Tammy, Cat and I go to Pennsatucky to see Iron Man III and Oz The Great and Powerful. The weather called for rain, and rain it did, but luckily, 4 grown adults, and pillows, and blankets fit in the back of a Ford explorer with the seats down.

I’m all class at the Drive-In

May 16th Karaoke at Plush:
I drank, quite a bit, and sang Shimmer and She Talks to Angels, Connie sang Hinder. He made me enjoy a Hinder song. I’ll never forgive him.
May 17th-19th Trip to Wildwood:
When we left for WIldwood, it was a gorgeous summer day.

The first night we went on the Board Walk:

We have been staying at this place since I was 9:

We got awesome pancakes:

I’m on a Boat!
 Dolphins, man, Dolphins.

The rest of the trip was cold, rainy, and windy, but hell. I had a nice time anyway.
May 25th Pool-less pool opener:
So it ended up being way to cold to swim, like 64 degrees or some nonsense, but that won’t stop me from having a party, and it sure didn’t stop us from having a 20+ person game of Cards Against Humanity. Cat was kind enough to snap a panoramic picture.
Not pictured: Gloia, Ani, her boyfriend, my sobriety.
May 26th Post Pool-less pool opener brunch at lancers:
Cheesecake, age old cure for hangover.
May 27th Memorial Day!:
We had our annual BBQ and Swimming, Mauro, Drew, and Hanners were in attendance, good times, meat, and food comas were had.
June 1st Half Awesome / Half life threatening:
Saturday Morning we made our way downtown to the Philadelphia Convention Center for Wizard World Comic Con where I helped out working some time at the Hero Initiative booth, dressed as Death (From The Sandman comics), wandered around looking for things to pointlessly spend money on, and generally nerding out with Drew and Han.  Good times.
Being Stalked by a Hannah monster:
Getting touched by Han’s noodly appendage once she suited up as sexy spaghetti monster, Ra-men!:
Drew and I went home, stopping on the way at Reading Terminal for iced coffee, then riding home for a much needed swim, as it was hotter than the devils taint walking back to the parking lot from the convention center and driving home with no air conditioning in my car.
Later in the evening we were joined by Mauro, we watched some movies and went on a wawa run, on the way home however we got into a car accident. I’m not going to go into the details of how/what happened, but my ish got busted the hell up. Drew lept out of the car once we were still and helped me out, held my face closed, led me to the curb to wait for EMT’s and then pulled the passengers out of the other car. Then came back to hold gauze on my broken head.
BIG DAMNED HERO.
This is the aftermath the night I got home from the hospital with 60+ brand new stitches in my face:
June 2nd – After we finally get home from the ER but before I pass out:
The first time he stayed over he met almost my entire family, and most of my inner peep circle, and then he pulled a bunch of strangers out of a wrecked car and held my bleeding headwound closed. Drew and I were officially an item.
June 2nd, later that afternoon after removing bandage

(WARNING: Yikes.):

June 3rd-8th:
Pretty much a constant haze of painkillers and gauze.
June 11th Dude, where’s my Job?:

YUP. So, that happened, due to something that went down during the time I was out because of the accident. Cause that makes sense! SMH.
June 21st Oh, Rocky! (Yes I went to Rocky, again.):
Drew and I were picked to be Ralph Hapschatt and Betty Monroe during the opening wedding scene!
Post show we creatively tetrised people into my car and went to the diner.
June 25th – Paw, visitors!:
Nikki came to visit Drew and I, along with her adorbs daughter Maddy, and Mountain Man Andy, oh Mauro was there too.
Witness the frolic.
The 4th of July:
We found a spot from which to see 3 firework displays at once, I went with Drew, Hanners, my brother and his girlfriend.

This is the first picture of my face I allowed to be taken since the stitches were out. You can’t tell but it’s a mean scar.

July 18th Last Summer on Earth 2013 Tour at The Mann Center:
I got dizzy as soon as we got into the Mann Center, I spent the first 20 minutes after arrival chugging water, in case said dizziness was due to the ungodly heat outside, since water seemed to help nothing, I flagged down an employee and asked for a medic, I was then taken to the first aid area while ma dukes watched the opening band, and Guster. At intermission, Mom met up with me at first aid where we were directed to our new seats, since no one was really sure if my fighting with gravity was due to heat or my concussion, our seats were bumped up from the great lawn to section A left, which was about all of 40 FEET FROM THE STAGE!!
We arrived just in time to see Ben Folds Five reunited and KILLING IT. Followed by BNL, also being excellent at their jobs of rocking socks.

July 24th Meet the new boss:
Gainful employment, I’ve never been so happy to be a phone monkey in my life.

July 26th Move, Bitch!
Drew and I helped Tammy pack up her place, and move some things to her storage unit. I was helpful in what few was I could be, which was packing things and sitting in one place for long periods of time.

August 2nd Konichiwa!:
Though employed I’m still way to damn broke to go out for sushi, but I am not too broke to make it! Making California and Spicy Tuna roll, and Okonomiyaki.
On the menu for Saturday: Drew, Mauro, Steph, Tammy, and Chuck will move the last of Tammy’s belongings into storage / Chucks place. I will cheer from the sidelines/porch. I’m all about the moral support. I’m like an emotional athletic cup.

Everything’s heavy underground.

I love your glasses so much in the “I'm on a boat” picture. SO MUCH.Once again I am glad you are okay. The bandage-removal photo looks PAINFUL.You look really happy. I received a text from that person we both know who informed me that you work with her mom. How's that? Do you talk about her? I mean, like, how'd she realise you were you and she was F's mom? Weird!

I bought those glasses on the boardwalk, but you can get ones likes them at 5 below. The bandages coming off didn't hurt, but the injury itself hurt bad, it still does even though it healed over, it gives me bad migraines several times a week. The work itself is fine, we just make office small talk, I realized she was who she was when I heard her use her full name on the phone, and then everything clicked, and I was like, WTF how did I not figure this out sooner? I've only been there a week though, but it's phone work, I'm good on the phone so I don't mind it, I'd like to hopefully make something more out of it though as at the moment, it's only 16 hours a week. How are you? I think we should hang out soon, maybe go get coffee at the starbucks near you and catch up one day.
